Imported scrap price in Turkey has moved up further by around $10/t in a recent deal concluded yesterday, sources have confirmed to SteelMint. In recent trade, a Mediterranean-based steelmaker has booked 11,000 t of Russian scrap cargo which comprises of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $450/t CFR Turkey. Tighter cargo availability along with hike in freight rates have pushed prices up.
