According to the recent customs data,Turkey flat steel imports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) inch up by 2% on monthly basis in Jul’18.
In Jul’18 nation imported 0.57 MnT of steel which was 0.56 MnT in previous month.
Similarly on yearly basis nation’s flat steel imports plunged by 30% in Jul’18 which was 0.81 MnT in Jul’17.
During first seven months of CY18 (Jan-Jul) nation’s flat steel imports summed upto 4.43 MnT which was 4.39 MnT in corresponding time frame of previous year.
Dull and weak demand prevails in domestic flat steel market amid summer holiday season.Meanwhile buyers in Turkey were reluctant to accept higher offers from CIS nations owing to sluggish demand.Thus nation’s flat steel imports remain largely stable on monthly basis over limited buying.

Country-Wise Turkey Flat Steel Imports in Jul’18 – Russia stood as a major flat steel exporter and has procured 0.14 MnT of flat steel in Jul’18 fell by 13% as compared to 0.16 MnT in Jun’18.
Secondly,Ukraine exported 0.07 MnT which remain stable since last two months.Followed by France and South Korea at 0.05 and 0.04 MnT in Jun and Jul’18.
