Turkey’s Finish Long Steel exports surged by 9.2% in Q2 CY’19, as per custom data maintained with SteelMint.
Turkey Finish long steel exports registered at 2.49 MnT in Q2 CY’19, surged by 9.2% than the 2.28 MnT in Q1 CY’19.
In line on yearly basis, exports recorded at 0.66 MnT in Jun’19 which rallied by 22.22% as compared with 0.54 MnT in Jun’18.
On contrary, monthly premises country’s long steel export is plunged by 42.10% to 0.66 MnT in Jun’19 compared with 1.14 MnT in May’19.
Under Finish long steel commodities following HS codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS Code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS Code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS Code 7215 & 7216).
Commodity wise – Turkey’s Rebar exports registered at 1.94 MnT moved up by 4.86% in comparison with 1.85 MnT in Q1 CY’19 followed by Structure (Angle, Channel) which stood at 0.49 MnT in Q2 CY’19 enlarged by 40% against 0.35 MnT in Q1 CY’19 and Wire Rod exports observed at 0.06 MnT in Q2 CY’19, down by 25% as against 0.08 MnT in Q1 CY’19.
Unload Country wise – Israel stood as top finish long steel importer and registered at 0.31 MnT in Q2 CY’19 (-6%) against 0.33 MnT in Q1 CY’19 followed by Yemen – 0.18 MnT in Q2 CY’19 (-51.35%) as against 0.37 MnT in Q1 CY’19 and Singapore 0.17 MnT in Q2 CY’19 (+183.34%) against 0.06 MnT in Q1 CY’19.
Finish Flat Exports Down
Turkey’s Finish Flat Steel exports lessen by 18.75% and registered at 1.69 MnT in Q2 CY’19 against 2.08 MnT in Q1 CY’19.
In line, on monthly basis flat steel exports down by 17.24% to 0.48 MnT in Jun’19 against 0.58 MnT in May’19 and on yearly basis exports dropped by 26.15% against 0.65 MnT in Jun’18.
Turkey majorly exports flat steel to European regions which includes Italy, Spain and Romania; however dull buying from these regions has lowered finish flat steel exports from Turkey in Apr-Jun CY’19 quarter.
In addition to this, less working hours and long holidays owing to Ramadan festival in May-June impacted nation’s export volumes in Q2 CY’19.
