Turkey’s Finished steel (Long & Flat) exports were recorded at 17.4 MnT in CY’19, surged by 2.41% from 16.99 MnT in CY’18, as per the custom data maintained by SteelMint.
Finish Long Steel- Turkey’s finish long steel exports hit 5 years high and registered at 9.95 MnT in CY’19 since CY’15, up by 5.18% on Y-o-Y basis as against 9.46 MnT in CY’18.
Israel stood as top importer of finish long steel from Turkey, marking 19.32% Y-o-Y rise with 1.42 MnT in CY’19 as against 1.19 MnT in CY’18. Other top importers of finish long steel were Yemen (1.10 MnT) and Singapore (0.72 MnT), both registering 27.9% and 41.17% Y-o-Y increase respectively.
Finish Flat Steel- On yearly basis, the country’s finish flat steel export was registered at 7.45 MnT in CY’19, marginally down by 1.06% as against 7.53 MnT in CY’18.
For Flat steel, Italy stood as the major importer with 1.38 MnT (18.5%), followed by Spain at 0.94 MnT (12.6%) & Romania at 0.52 MnT (6.9%).
