SECL Coal e-auction held in the past week fetched higher bids for major coal fields with plants winning the bids, as traders are not very positive on the demand. “Market is quite dull and we are not much hopeful on demand in this month”, said a trader based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
Prices including taxes for Gevra OC stock of G11 grade moved up to Rs 2400/MT, i.e. up by Rs 200/MT from the previous auction with 150,000 MT auctioned.
Prices for other mines which were e-auctioned were:
Rs 2,500/MT for G11 grade of Laxman OC stock (85000 MT), Rs 2,600/MT for G11 grade of Dipka Expn (100,000 MT) and Rs 2,300/MT for chhal G12 grade with 50,000 MT auctioned through MSTC and Coal Junction.
