Tokyo Steel lifts carbon steel price by up to $120/t for May ’21 delivery

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing, Japan’s leading EAF, has announced its monthly carbon steel offers today for May ’21 delivery. The company raised its prices by JPY 5,000-13,000/t ($46-120) for carbon steel coils/sheets and square pipes, in order to bridge the gap between domestic prices with international prices, SteelMint learned from credible sources. Last month, the company raised HRC and hot-dipped galvanized coil prices by JPY 5,000/t ($46) for Apr ’21 delivery.
