Third price discovery for SAIL’s silico manganese tender on 8 Oct’21

Indian steel major Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) had invited an open tender for procurement of 8,500 t (+/-20%) of medium carbon silico manganese (MC-SiMn) on 18 Jan’21 for the Salem Steel Plant. The delivery schedule had tentatively been fixed at 800 t per month on FoR basis, or as per the plant schedule. The price discovery was to be done once in four months. The deadline for techno-commercial bid submission for the third price discovery is on 8 Oct’21. Bidders shall keep their price bids valid for at least 30 days from the date of price discovery through the reverse auction/price discovery mechanism.
