Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports rise 40% m-o-m in May’24

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 110,994 tonnes (t) in May’24, an increase of 40% from 79,421 t in Apr.
On a y-o-y basis, import volumes dropped by 11% compared to 124,938 t in May’23.
The US emerged as the leading exporter at 32,253 t, followed by Australia and South Korea at 13,104 t and 12,711 t respectively.
