Thailand: Steel billets imports rise over 55% m-o-m in Oct’22

Thailand’s steel billets imports rose by 58.4% m-o-m in Oct’22 to 106,440 t from 67,196 t in Sep’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Japan was the largest exporter with 54,052 t followed by Oman with 20,008 t.
However, import volumes fell by 20% y-o-y to 2.14 mnt in Jan-Oct’22 as against 2.69 mnt in the year-ago period.
