Thailand: Steel billets imports fall over 65%, m-o-m, in Feb’22

Thailand’s steel billets imports fell sharply by 67% in Feb’22 to 0.09 mnt compared with 0.27 mnt in Jan’22, as per latest data released by customs.
Japan was the largest exporter with 0.06 mnt, followed by Oman with 0.03 mnt.
Also, import volumes fell significantly by 33% y-o-y in Jan-Feb’22 to 0.36 mnt as against 0.54 mnt in CPLY.
