Thailand: Steel billets imports fall 17% y-o-y in CY’22

- Thailand’s steel billets imports fell by 17.2% y-o-y to 2.54 mnt in CY’22 as against 3.07 mnt in CY’21, as per data recently released by customs.
- Oman was the largest exporter with 1.23 mnt followed by Japan with 0.69 mnt.
- Billets imports by the country declined by 24.4% m-o-m to 169,885 t in Dec’22 from 224,656 t in the previous month.
