8 plants participated in the techno-commercial bid for the latest SAIL tender in which it intends to procure a tentative quantity of 15,250 MT ferro manganese from indigenous source for its different plants/units for the period of three months starting from Nov’16 to Jan’17.
The techno-commercial bid revealed that 8 plants had participated in the tender. The final results of the tender should be known by the coming week.

Domestic prices are trading high owing to rising prices of high grade manganese ore both domestically and globally. Current offers are assessed at around INR 58,000-59,000/MT (Ex-Raipur) and around 58,000/MT (Ex- Durgapur). Prices exclude Excise Duty of 12.5%.
