5 plants participated in the techno-commercial bid for the latest SAIL tender in which it intends to procure a tentative quantity of 16,500 MT ferro manganese.
The SAIL tender which was issued in May’16 for purchase of 16,500 MT ferro manganese, will meet the requirement of its for its Bhilai Steel Plant, for a duration of 4 months (May-August 2016).
The techno-commercial bid revealed that 5 plants had participated in the tender. The final results of the tender should be known by the coming week.

Ferro Manganese Market
Indian ferro manganese market remained weak on low trading activity. Currently, ferro manganese 70% being offered at INR 50,000/MT (Ex-Durgapur) and INR 49,000/MT (Ex-Raipur).
