Tata Steel CEO T.V. Narendran has said the company has ramped up capacity to 100% from only around 50% in Apr’20 and production stood at 2.99 mn t in Apr-Jun’20. A good monsoon and uptick in rural demand, along with the recovering auto and appliances segments, point to improving domestic demand, he said, adding that the company will lessen export allocations from around 50% in Q1 FY21.
