Tata Steel BSL Iron Ore & Pellet Sourcing Up 10% in Aug’19

Bhushan Steel – a major integrated steel maker with a capacity of 5.6 MnT has recorded iron ore & pellet sourcing at 0.61 MnT in Aug’19. The sourcing picked up 10% as against 0.55 MnT in July’19.

Bhushan steel total iron ore sourcing for the month stood at 0.59 MnT, up 8% against 0.55 MnT in July’19.

Tata Steel supplies picked up significantly by 24% for the month to 0.26 MnT as against 0.21 MnT a month ago.

State owned miner- OMC supplied 0.14 MnT iron ore to the steel maker, up 16% as compared to 0.12 MnT in July’19. Sourcing from Serajuddin stood at 0.79 MnT, up 16% M-o-M.

Bhushan Steel iron ore procurement from Indrani Patnaik, AMTC and RP Sao dropped for the month to 56,106 MT, 24,818 MT and and 13,842 MT respectively.

Bhushan Steel pellet sourcing up four folds in Aug’19

The pellet sourcing by the steel maker has increased by four folds to 15,400 MT in Aug’19, as against 3,850 MT a month ago.

Tata Steel BSL is planning to expand Bhushan steel capacity from 5.6 MnT to 8.3 MnT. They are also planning to enhance production at its captive iron ore mines around Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar.
