Tata Steel BSL has booked 132,000 t iron ore fines at the auction held by Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) on 10th Mar’21, SteelMint has come to learn from sources. OMC had put 882,000 t for auction, of which 767,000 t, or about 86% of the material, was booked. The bid price witnessed a correction of INR 1,200/t compared to the last auction conducted on 7th Jan’21. Last month too, the company had booked lumps in OMC’s auction and it seems the company is preferring sourcing iron ore over pellets from the domestic market.
