Taiwan’s major stainless steel mill, Yusco, has increased its 316L stainless steel surcharge by TWD$2,000/t ($66/t) in August, after a TWD $1,000/t ($33/t) rise in July. The hike followed a 7% surge in ferro molybdenum prices since July, driven by supply disruption from a major Inner Mongolia mine, raising costs for molybdenum-containing stainless steel products.
