Taiwan: Walsin Lihwa raises 300-series stainless steel wire rod prices for Mar’25

Taiwan’s Walsin Lihwa, a stainless steel wire manufacturer, raised 300-series stainless steel wire rod prices by TWD 1,000/t ($30/t) for Mar’25, while 200 and 400 series tags remained unchanged. The price hike was driven by the upcoming US tariff measures, which could boost Taiwan’s transfer orders. Additionally, the recent increase in nickel pig iron prices has raised production costs, further supporting the hike.
