Taiwan’s imports from Met Coke to Billet have increased, whereas Scrap imports fell when compared on a monthly basis in Mar’20, as per recent data maintained by SteelMint.
Following are the statistics –
— Met Coke imports have increased by 170.7% M-o-M to 39,415 MT in Mar’20.
— Iron ore imports for Mar’20 rise slightly by 1.2% to 2,071,562 MT as against 2,047,128 MT in Feb’20.
— Ferrous scrap imports decline by 12.5% in Mar’20 & stood at 301,259 MT. United States remains the top load country in Mar’20 with 120,354 MT, inline Japan stood second with 115,967 MT.
— Billet imports surge by 38.4% to 430,397 MT in Mar’20 against 310,878 MT in Feb’20. Russia was the major billet exporter with 217,852 MT. Inline Japan exported 162,644 MT in Mar’20.
— Taiwanese Ferro alloys imports increased by 59.7% in Mar’20 from 27,805 MT in Feb’20. India remains the top load country in Jan-Mar’20 with 37,350 MT (39.51%) of exports to Taiwan.
