Taiwan finish long exports down by 14% in Q1 CY’19- Taiwan’s finish long exports declined by 14% to 0.19 MnT in (Jan-Mar) Q1 CY’19 as compared to 0.22 MnT in (Oct-Dec) Q4 CY’18.
Whereas on monthly premise nation’s finish long exports remained stable for second consecutive month and stood at 0.06 MnT in Mar’19.
On yearly basis nation’s finish long exports volume halved in Mar’19 in comparison to 0.12 MnT in Mar’18.
Country-wise Taiwan finish long exports in Q1 CY’19- Taiwan exports finish long steel majorly to Australia and accounted for 0.03 MnT in Q1 CY’19, unchanged over preceding quarter.
Following this nation’s exports were also recorded at 0.02 MnT each to South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam in Q1 CY’19.
However nation also exported finish long steel to China, USA, Canada and Dominican Republic in smaller quantities in the current quarter.
Taiwan flat steel exports down 4% in Q1 CY’19- Nation’s flat steel exports fell marginally by 4%; stood at 2.31 MnT in current quarter against 2.4 MnT in (Oct- Dec) Q3 CY’18.
Vietnam stood as the major importer of Taiwan flat steel in Q1. However during the quarter Taiwan’s exports plunged amid higher inventory levels in Vietnam’s domestic market along with competitive prices from other steel exporting nation’s like India and Russia. Also Vietnam’s domestic market remained closed on the occasion of Tet holidays in the beginning of Feb’19.
Whereas nation’s flat steel exports reported a significant jump in Mar’19 to 0.96 MnT as compared to 0.56 MnT in previous month.
On yearly premise nation’s exports increased by 13% in Mar’19 from 0.85 MnT in corresponding month preceding year.
Country-wise Taiwan flat steel exports in Q1 CY’19- Vietnam stood as major importer of Taiwan flat steel and recorded at 0.29 MnT in Q1 CY’19; marginally down by 3% which was 0.3 MnT in previous quarter.
Following this Taiwan exported flat steel to Japan 0.25 MnT, China 0.24, Malaysia 0.21 and United States 0.20 in current quarter.
Taiwan also exported flat steel to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Belgium and South Korea in smaller quantities in Q1 CY’19.
Taiwan finish flat stainless steel exports in Q1 CY’19- Taiwan’s finish flat stainless steel exports stood at 0.21 MnT in Q1 CY’19; remained unchanged over previous quarter.
Meanwhile on monthly basis nation’s exports recorded at 0.08 MnT in Mar’19 with a significant rise from 0.05 MnT in preceding month.
Whereas on yearly premise nation’s finish flat stainless steel plunged by 20% in Mar’19 as compared to 0.1 MnT in Mar’18.
Country-wise Taiwan finish flat stainless steel exports in Q1 CY’19- Italy being the major importer of Taiwan finish flat stainless steel accounted for 0.03 MnT in Q1 CY’19 unchanged from previous quarter.
Second major importer was South Korea at 0.02 MnT followed by USA, Canada, India, Mexico and Thailand importing in smaller quantities in Q1 CY’19.
