Taiwan: Steel billet imports rise over 35% m-o-m in Nov’22

Taiwan’s steel billet imports moved up by 36% m-o-m to 254,755 t in Nov’22 from 187,651 t in Oct’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter at 198,134 t followed by Japan at 36,909 t.
However, cumulative import volumes fell by 20% to 3.13 mnt in Jan-Nov’22 as against 3.92 mnt in the year-ago period.
