Taiwan: Stainless steel scrap exports show modest rise in Aug’25

Taiwan’s stainless steel exports posted a modest 1% m-o-m rise in Aug’25, reaching 5,611 t from 5,548 t in Jul’25. Despite this uptick, shipments during Jan-Aug’25 dropped 18.5% y-o-y to 35,393 t from 43,449 t last year. South Korea remained the top buyer at 4,263 t, down from 4,516 t, while Japan’s intake grew to 568 t from 417 t.
