Taiwan: Stainless steel finished flat exports decline 15% y-o-y in CY’25

Taiwan’s stainless steel finished flat exports fell 15% y-o-y to 0.72 mnt in 2025 from 0.85 mnt in 2024, amid cautious buyer sentiment and competitive regional pricing pressures. Italy remained the top destination at 0.11 mnt, with shipments decreasing 31% y-o-y from 0.16 mnt, followed by the US at 0.10 mnt, down 9% y-o-y. Exports in Jan’26 stood at approximately 0.05 mnt.
