Taiwan imposes ban on 304, 316 grade stainless steel exports to Russia and Belarus

  • According to Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, the country has expanded sanctions on exports of high-tech goods to Russia and Belarus for production of military weapons.
  • Including 304 and 316 stainless steel grades, exports of 52 items including nuclear energy substances, chemicals, and machine tools are banned.
  • The sanctions are in line with similar measures imposed by the US, EU, Japan and UK.
