According to the latest custom data, Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) have registered hike of 15% to 0.7 MnT in Nov’16 against the previous year. In Nov’15 the nation’s flat steel exports is recorded at 0.61 MnT.
On monthly basis, Taiwan flat steel exports registered a considerable downfall of 13% in Nov’16 against Oct’16. The same stood at 0.8 MnT in Oct’16.
During the time period of Jan-Nov’2016, country’s flat steel exports rose by 3% to 7.81 MnT against 7.56 MnT in the corresponding time frame of previous year.
Grade- wise Taiwan Flat steel exports-
If grade-wise analysis is made, then 7208 exports have declined by 28.9 %,M-o-M in Nov’16 against Oct’16 whereas 7209 have also move downwards by 16% in Nov’16 against previous month. Although, other flat steel grades exports like 7225 have increased, Y-o-Y basis in Nov’16 as compared to Nov’15. However grade 7210 also increased by 46% on yearly basis and grade 7212 declined in Nov’16.

Major Flat steel importing countries from Taiwan in 2016
In 2016 from Jan-Nov, China remained the foremost buyer and imported 1,21,828 MT of flat steel in Nov’16 against 1,10,489 MT in Oct’16.Other major countries include Vietnam, Japan followed by USA and Malaysia.
