According to the latest custom data, Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils), 7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) have registered fall of 15% to 0.64 MnT in Jan’17 against Dec’16. In Dec’16, nation’s flat steel exports was recorded at 0.75 MnT.
On yearly basis, Taiwan flat steel exports registered a downfall of 3% in Jan’17 against Jan’16. The same stood at 0.66 MnT in Jan’16.
In CY16, Taiwan exported 8.6 MnT flat steel against 8.3 MnT in the previous year.
Grade-wise Taiwan Flat steel exports-
If grade-wise analysis is made, then 7208 exports have declined by 16 %,M-o-M in Jan’17 against Dec’16 whereas 7209 have also move downwards by 19% in Jan’17 against previous month.

Country-wise Taiwan flat steel exports in Jan’17 – China remained the largest importer of flat steel from Taiwan in Jan’17 and imported 0.1 MnT. Other major buyers were Vietnam and Japan.
