According to the latest custom data,Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils),7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) registered the growth of 12% on monthly basis to 0.76 MnT in Aug’17 in contrast to 0.68 MnT in Jul’17.
However,on yearly basis nation’s flat steel exports moved up by 17% in Aug’17 against Aug’16.Taiwan exported 0.65 MnT of flat steel in Aug’16.
In first eight months (Jan-Aug) of CY17,country flat steel exports moved up slightly by 0.17% to 5.63 MnT against 5.62 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.

Vietnam remained the largest importer of flat steel from Taiwan in Jan-Aug’17
During Jan-Aug’17 Vietnam has imported 0.88 MnT and become the major importer of flat steel from Taiwan.Other major buyers of Taiwan flat steel were China at 0.79%,Japan at 0.62% followed by Malaysia 0.52% and United States at 0.44%.
However in the month of Aug’17 Vietnam imported 0.14 MnT down by 13% from 0.16 MnT in Jul’17.Imports by China was at 0.09 MnT and Japan stood at 0.07 MnT in Aug’17.
