According to the latest custom data,Taiwan flat steel exports which includes 7208 (HR coils /Plates),7209 (CR coils),7225 (Electrical sheets),7210/7212(GP/GC) registered the growth of 26% on yearly basis in Sep’17.Country has exported 0.77 MnT of flat steel in Sep’17 which was at 0.61 MnT in Sep’16.
However,on monthly basis nation’s flat steel exports moved up slightly by 3% in Sep’17 against 0.75 MnT in Aug’17.
In first nine months (Jan-Sep) of CY17,country flat steel exports moved up by 3% to 6.39 MnT against 6.23 MnT in similar time-frame of previous year.

Vietnam occupied largest share of imports in Jan-Sep’17-During Jan-Sep’17 Vietnam has imported 1.04 MnT (accounts for 16.30 MnT on first nine months of CY17) and become the major importer of flat steel from Taiwan.Other major buyers of Taiwan flat steel in Jan-Sep were China at 0.89 MnT (13.91%),Japan at 0.69 MnT (10.81%) followed by Malaysia 0.59 MnT ( 9.19%) and United States at 0.48 MnT (7.54%).
However in the month of Sep’17 Vietnam imported 0.16 MnT down by 14% from 0.14 MnT in Aug’17.Imports by China was at 0.10 MnT, Japan stood at 0.08 MnT followed by Malaysia at 0.07 MnT and US at 0.04 MnT in Sep’17
