Taiwan – one of the major finish steel exporter has reported increase in its Finish long steel exports during the Jan-Jul CY18 as compared to same period of CY17.
As per the customs, the nation has exported about 659,075 MT Finish Long steel in Jan-Jul’18, up by 26.71% as against 520,155 MT in same time frame in CY17.
Similarly, on monthly comparison, the Finish long steel exports was elongated by 71.15% to 81,134 MT in Jul’18 as compared to 47,405 MT in Jun’18 & in line yearly premises it has been moved up by 17.57% against 69,006 MT in Jul’17.
Under Finish Long steel commodities following HS codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS code 7215 & 7216).
Bar’s & Rods have contributed the major proportionate during Jul’18 and registered at 37,510 MT (+71.44%) followed by Structure (Angle and Shapes) 36,469 MT (+111%) and remaining was Wire Rod 7,155 MT (-13%). The changes are mentioned are compared on monthly basis.
Country Wise
Out of total Finish Long steel exports in Jul’18, the major imports registered by Australia – 25,600 MT (+1062%) followed by China 8,196 MT (+65%) and Vietnam at 7,821 MT (+13%).
