Taiwan’s scrap imports stood at 203,917 t in Feb’24, down by 21% as against 257,311 t a month ago. Similarly, on a y-o-y basis, scrap imports dropped by 12% against 231,977 t reported in Feb’23. The majority of imports in Jan’24 came from the US at 77,709 t, followed by Japan and Dominican Republic at 52,371 t and 17,546 t, respectively.
