Taiwan: Ferrous scrap imports drop 17% m-o-m in Jul’24

Taiwan’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 1,98,000 t in Jul’24, down by 16.74% as compared to 2,37,812 t in Jun’24.
In Jan-Jul’24, ferrous imports in Taiwan aggregated to 1.68 mnt, representing a drop of 11% as compared to 1.89 mnt in the same period of last year.
The US emerged as the leading exporter of ferrous scrap at 91,032 t followed by Japan and Dominican Republic at 33,984 t and 15,667 t.
