Taiwan: Ferro Alloy Imports Down by 9% M-o-M in Oct’17

According to the Taiwanese customs, the country has witnessed a fall of 9% in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Oct’17, Taiwan imported a total of 57,555 MT Ferro Alloys against 62,945 MT in the previous month. However, on yearly basis, there has been a rise of 16% Y-o-Y as Taiwan imported 49,727 MT in Oct’16.

In Oct’17, Taiwan imported 32,030 MT of Ferro Chrome, 8,960 MT Ferro Silicon, 10,234 MT Silico Manganese and 6,331 MT Ferro Manganese. Ferro Chrome imports witnessed an increase of 53% M-o-M while other alloys registered a fall.

South Africa surpassed India to become the largest exporter to Taiwan at 20,795 MT in Oct’17 followed by India at 16,429 MT.
