Taiwan’s leading steel producer, China Steel Corporation (CSC) has hiked steel prices by 4.1% for Jul’21 sales as well as for Q3 CY’21. Prices of base grade products have been kept unchanged, while medium- to high-carbon product prices have been increased by up to TWD 2,900/t ($105). The company’s revised prices are in line with global steel prices. European and American steel markets have rallied, with HRC prices in the US breaching the $1,800/t mark. HRC prices in Europe have touched $1,400/t, as per latest reports.
