    Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, remained unchanged d-o-d at RMB 2,940/t ($408/t), including 13% VAT, on 22 May’25. Billet prices were under pressure due to subdued demand, along with heightened volatility in finished steel prices and rebar futures. Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) held stable d-o-d at RMB 3,061/t ($425/t) on 22 May’25.
