Japan: Tokyo Steel keeps scrap purchase prices unchanged for all plants except Kansai

Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the sixth time this month, effective 31 Oct’25. In the latest round, the company raised prices by JPY 1,000/t ($6/t) at its Kansai plant while keeping those at other sites unchanged. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices at at Kansai were JPY 43,000/t ($279/t).
