Japan’s iron ore imports rose 20% m-o-m in Apr’22 to 10.14 mnt from 8.43 mnt in Mar’22, as per customs data. Australia was the largest exporter with 6.67 mnt followed by Brazil and Canada at 2.29 mnt and 770,000 t, respectively. However, import volumes in Jan-Apr’22 remained stable y-o-y at 36 mnt.
