South Korea: Iron ore imports rise nearly 70%, m-o-m, in May

South Korea’s iron ore (including pellets) imports rose sharply by 66.86% m-o-m in May’22 to 6.83 mnt from 4.09 mnt in Apr, as per customs data.
Australia was the largest exporter at 4.83 mnt, followed by Brazil at 0.08 mnt.
Import volumes, however, fell 8% to 28.34 mnt on year in Jan-May’22 as against 30.80 mnt in the same period last year.
