Bangladesh: Bulk scrap import prices surge in a recent deal from US
In a recent deal, 30,000 t of US-origin mixed (HMS and shredded) bulk cargo was booked for Sept’22 shipment, SteelMint learnt from sources. The deal was concluded at an average price of $445-450/t CFR Chittagong. Prices have increased significantly by $15-20/t, tracking the hike in global scrap prices on back of active Turkish booking.
