ArcelorMittal, world’s leading integrated steel and mining company, has acquired Scottish recycling business John Lawrie Metals Ltd, as per company sources. This acquisition comes as part of the company’s strategy of increasing the use of scrap steel to lower CO2 emissions from steel making. The deal was finalised on 28 Feb’22.
