- ArcelorMittal, world’s leading integrated steel and mining company, has acquired Scottish recycling business John Lawrie Metals Ltd, as per company sources.
- This acquisition comes as part of the company’s strategy of increasing the use of scrap steel to lower CO2 emissions from steel making.
- The deal was finalised on 28 Feb’22.
