Sweden: LKAB’s iron ore pellet output falls by 30% y-o-y in Q3CY’24

Sweden’s LKAB witnessed an iron ore pellet output of 4.9 mnt in Q3C’Y24, a fall of 30% compared to 7 mnt in Q3CY’23, amid disruptions in production and extended shutdowns for remedial work.
LKAB’s delivery volumes of iron ore products dropped by 6% to 5.9 mnt in Q3CY’24 against 6.3 mnt in Q3CY’23.
Out of total deliveries, the volume of pellets stood at 85% as against 82% in Q3CY’23.
