Sweden, the world’s sixth largest iron ore exporter has exported 2.22 MnT iron ore in Aug’16, according to the trade statistics released by European Union customs.
Iron ore exports have witnessed a growth of 18% M-o-M as it was 1.88 MnT in Jul’16. On the similar lines, Sweden iron ore exports moved up by 15% Y-o-Y as it was 1.93 MnT in Aug’15.
During the first eight months of 2016, the country exported 15.11 MnT iron ore, up by 3.7% Y-o-Y as it was 14.56 MnT in the same period prior this year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) export in Aug’16 was registered at 0.37 MnT, significantly up by 6% M-o-M and 19% Y-o-Y. On similar, the agglomerated ore (pellets and concentrates) export was registered at 1.85 MnT, up by 21% M-o-M and 14% Y-o-Y.
