Structure prices in Mumbai stable from last 4-5 days, as buyers resists stocking and purchase of the material as per requirement. Local offers of 40×6, 65×6 mm angle is Rs 34,200/t at the same time premium brands offering Rs 34,300-35,100/t for same sizes. Ingot and billet in Mumbai open as same as yesterday at Rs 29,900/t (ladle) and 30,100/t respectively. Also scrap offers are on same level today heavy scrap offers at Rs 22,900/t. However imported scrap prices fell by $ 5-6/t as rupee hits record lowest level, shredded scrap offers at $ 370/t as it was on $375 on Monday.
In Ghaziabad structure prices move up by Rs 200/t due to slight improvement in demand from private construction sectors. A person from well known unit based at Ghaziabad said “We received orders from private constructors in past few days that's why we marginally hike offers”.
Low demand in central India and southern region pressurized manufacturers based at Raipur to cut offers. I-Beam 200 mm offered at Rs 32,000/t by Sarthak Ispat based at Raipur after they reduce offers by Rs 200/t, whereas local manufacturers offered I-Beam 200 mm at Rs 31,800/t. Ingot offers are on Rs 27,700/t in Raipur and 12 mm Re-bar at Rs 32,300-400/t.
