Structure prices of Raipur dropped marginally by Rs 100-200/MT on W-o-W basis, as 40 Angle was traded at Rs 31,900/MT and Channel 75 at Rs 31,800/MT on 10th June, 2013. Whereas, 40 Angle and 75 Channel were traded at Rs 31,800/MT (Regular Payment) Rs 31,500/MT (Next day payment) and 31,600-31,700/MT respectively on 17th of June, 2013. Meanwhile, Beam 125 and 150 were offered at Rs 32,200/MT which is at Rs 32,100/MT on 17th of June, 2013.
On the other hand, Sarthak Ispat based at Raipur reduced its Structure prices, owing to which, its Channel prices decreased by Rs 200/MT and offered 150 Channel at Rs 31,800/MT. Whereas, on 17th June'13, Raipur based Hanukripa Ispat offered 75 Channel at Rs 31,600-700/MT.
Market players expect that prices will fluctuate in the range of Rs 100-300/MT in this week as the demand for light and medium structures are average.
Mumbai based structure manufacturer said. “We don't expect too much reduction of structure prices in upcoming days because of limited availability of domestic scrap and costlier imported scrap. Also owing to which Ingot and Billet prices will remain firm”. However, on 18th June'13, Structure prices in Mumbai opened at Rs 33,900/MT which was less than Rs 100/MT from 40×6 Angle's price which was at Rs 34,000/MT on 17th June'13.
