Structure Prices in Central and Western India shows Stability

Structure prices in Central and Western India remain unchanged from start of the week. While Ingot and Billet offers fluctuate between INR 100-300/MT.

Raipur’s Structure offers remained unmoved from past 6 days. Marginal movement in Ingot and Billet prices are mainly supported prices to stabilize. Heavy Structure demand is not improved much but demand from fabrication industries have slightly pushed up light Structural demands. Angle 40 mm was traded at about INR 31,600/MT today which is same as last week.

During the conversation, a native trader said “demand in light Structure is increased a little bit, which mostly supplies in the local market. Structure market will not improve until demand in heavy section increases or supply of material to other states starts.” Meanwhile, transportation in Raipur was slightly affected from last 2 days, owing to swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Raman Singh as Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister.

Structure prices in Mumbai and Ahmedabad were also constant from start of the week. Increased trading activities and stable Ingot/Billet prices resulted in firm prices of Structure. Ahmedabad and Mumbai’s 40 Angle offers are at INR 33,500/MT and INR 35,000/MT respectively. However, Ingot offered at INR 30,800/MT in Ahmedabad after marginal increase by INR 100/MT. While, Mumbai’s Ingot offers remain unchanged and traded at about INR 31,450/MT.
