SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices remained unchanged today at INR 24,000/t ($329) exw Raipur (central India). The prices attained stability on account of active trades as about 6,000 t confirmed deals have been reported from manufacturers located in Raipur & outside at INR 23,800-24,000/t on exw & FoR Raipur basis. According to the local sponge iron manufacturers, prices are less likely to soften owing to good demand and higher input cost.
