SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) price gained further by INR 600/t to INR 23,800/t ($327) exw Raipur (central India). Despite a sharp surge in offers, trade volumes were slightly lower due to limited sellers & lower bids, the participants reported. Today, about 3,000 t deals have been confirmed at INR 23,600-23,800/t on exw & FoR basis as against floated offers at INR 23,900-24,000/t exw by Raipur based plants.
