Benchmark sponge iron (P-DRI) prices remained unchanged at INR 26,100/t exw Raipur (central India) with no major deals. The plants floated offers at INR 26,200-300/t, however few deals & bids were reported at INR 26,000-26,200/t exw Raipur. Meanwhile, offers from outside suppliers remained high, because of which no deals were concluded. Trade sources are expecting that sponge iron prices may remain under pressure on account of improved availability & less inquiries.
