SteelMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet index “PELLEX ” has decreased slightly by INR 50/t to INR 13,500/t DAP Raipur in the recent deals. Four deals for a total quantity of around 25,000 t pellets have been reported in this publishing window. Few deals were also reported from outside Raipur this week. Buyers are still very cautious on buying decisions amid ongoing lockdown in the city which has disturbed material movement and lowered finished steel movement.
Raipur based pellet makers continued to keep the offers stable at INR 13,200-13,500/t. Godawari Power has also kept the pellet (low Al) stable at INR 14,000/t (ex-plant).
Pellet sponge (P-DRI) price in Raipur also decreased by INR 1,050/t w-o-w to INR 29,300/t exw against last week. On a daily basisalso, prices have moved down by around INR 150/t.

- Six firm offers and bids were reported and out of those three offers from Raipur and two from outside Raipur. All were taken for price calculation and given a weightage of 50%.
- However, SteelMint has also received one bid in his publishing window and that was also considered in the index calculation.
