SteelMint’s assessment for Fe 63% concentrate prices currently stands at around INR 2,900/tonne (t) exw on 9 November, stable as against the last assessment on 5 November. Deals of around 48,000 t were heard at INR 2,900/t exw this week as against 52,000 t on 5 November.
SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 44,450/tonne (t) (+INR 150) exw-Raipur on 9 November, 2022. Although the index rose further, spot trades fell as buyers resisted higher offers due to dull sales on revised finished steel offers. Spot trades in Raipur declined to around 2,300 t on 9 November as against 4,300 t on 8 November.
